Elan Canfield is a Bureau of Indian Affairs agent in 1876. He is sent on a scout expedition to the Navajo territory, where he grew up. However, he falls in with a group of murderous escaped criminals who will kill him if they find out his true identity. Not only must he attempt escape, but also protect his old friends and fend off an approaching evil power.
The Uglies is researched and written and scouted and ready to destroy theaters. It's an unforgiving, dirty, mean, and bloody tale of revenge. It's a demonic retaliation against a hostile invasion. It's the jarring descent into hellscape for a lone and misidentified Bureau of Indian Affairs agent.
The Uglies is written to keep costs of production low; It has a cast of less than 20, and most of the film takes place at a single adobe mission in a remote desert location. Other locations include:
