PRODUCTION NOTES
Junkyard showed itself to me in a nightmare, and the transcription was buried and forgotten for years. In Los Angeles, certain conditions arose between friends and industry persons that not only resurrected Junkyard, but ushered it into existence.
With the help of many old friends and some great new ones, we shot the majority of Junkyard in one LONG day in the Mojave desert. It was a brutal shoot but every last crew member kicked ass into the dark hours.
Our junkyard location was a real intense place, a Netherworld playground full of glass spiderwebs and cragged geometry. Much thanks goes to the owners and operators of Valpey's Auto Salvage, and Rufus the junkyard dog.
Junkyard is simple in story, powerful in message, and aesthetically superior. These are the films we take pride in creating at Golem Pictures.
